Draft Business Plan submission - October 2019
Following Ofgem’s Challenge Group review of our draft submission in July, the following documents were updated and submitted to Ofgem ahead of the Final Determinations in December.

As part of the early RIIO-2 submission process, we outlined our ambitions and mission statement which you can find below.
Forward Plan documents
The ESO has had an evaluative incentive scheme since April 2018. During the period from 2018-21, the ESO (in consultation with its stakeholders) published a Forward Plan to set out its activities for each financial year. These Forward Plans were shaped by stakeholder consultation.
The ESO’s incentive reports for the 2018-21 period set out our progress against the activities set out in the Forward Plan.
Forward Plan 2020-21
The final 2020-21 Forward Plan was published in March 2020, setting out our activities for the 2020-21 period. Prior to publishing the final plan, we had consulted on a draft plan, and stakeholders had provided their feedback. We also published a Forward Plan Addendum in July 2020, to take account of the impact of COVID-19 and the feedback provided in Ofgem’s Formal Opinion.

Forward Plan 2019-21
The final 2019-21 Forward Plan was published in March 2019, setting out our activities for the 2019-21 period. We produced a two-year plan to provide visibility of the remainder of the period before RIIO-2. Prior to publishing the final plan, we had consulted on a draft plan, and stakeholders had provided their feedback.

Forward Plan 2018-19
We published the final version of our first ESO Forward Plan in March 2018, setting out our activities for the 2018-19 period. Here you can download Forward Plan 2018-19 documents and information that provides more context around our activities.
Performance reports relating to the Forward Plan
These reports relate to the ESO’s incentive schemes from 2018-21, and show our progress against each year’s Forward Plan. They were used by Ofgem and stakeholders to assess our performance, as part of our evaluative incentive scheme.
