We’ve partnered with Womens Utilities Network (WUN) to support women to enter the energy industry and develop their careers in this male dominated sector.
Through our partnership with WUN, we want to increase diversity within the industry and create an inclusive culture at work where women feel safe and supported to thrive.
WUN offers a valuable community for women to develop the skills and confidence they need to have lasting, fulfilling careers in the utility sector. WUN’s network enables women to build the right contacts, get the right training and take control of their work at whatever stage their career is at.
Recent data from Energy and Utility Skills showed that in 2024, less than 30% of leaders in energy and water companies identified as female, a decline from 35% in 2023. The percentage of women employed in the sector also decreased from 30% in 2023 to 28% in 2024. We want to work with WUN to ensure that women feel able and supported to succeed in this industry.
