Offshore Hybrid Assets

An Offshore Hybrid Asset (OHA), previously known as a Multi-purpose Interconnector (MPI), integrates the network infrastructure for offshore wind generation with an interconnector. These systems are designed to harness the advantages of different technologies to provide a more stable and reliable power supply.

The Offshore Coordination Project has been set up by NESO with support from Ofgem and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
